Loïc Explore: A bold challenge supported by Berney Associés

15 January 2025 marks the start of an exceptional challenge for Loïc Explore, an adventurer from Martigny.

This project, « Mètis expedition », will cover an impressive 15,000 kilometres over 545 days. The journey will take him through extreme environments, from the far north to the rainforests of Amazonia.

The Mètis Expedition: A journey to the heart of adventure

Loïc Explore is embarking on an extraordinary challenge: to travel from North Cape to the Amazon rainforest through four extreme environments:

1. The Far North Departure for Scandinavia, crossing Norway and Sweden on skis.
2. The desert A 700-kilometre challenge on foot in the Moroccan desert.
3. The Atlantic Ocean Crossing by sailboat.
4. The Amazon rainforest Final arrival in the Amazon after overcoming numerous obstacles.

Loïc Explore will cross 10 different countries and discover 10 breathtaking landscapes during this adventure. His aim is not only to push back his personal limits, but also to raise awareness of the importance of adaptability, resilience and mental strength in the face of adversity.

Travelling beyond the limits  

Far from being a beginner in the field of adventure, Loïc Explore has already completed several remarkable explorations.

In 2018, Loïc began exploring New Zealand, the Alps and the Balkans. In 2021, he took off to cover 100 kilometres in the freezing cold of Lapland and crossed Switzerland on foot in 5 days. Finally, he fulfilled one of his greatest dreams by setting off on a solo expedition into the Amazon rainforest of French Guiana.

This rich journey is a testament to Loïc's determination and courage, and a reminder that anything is possible with passion and perseverance.
