Berney Associés becomes a partner of Geneva-based mountaineer Christine Vogondy

Berney Associés is proud to announce a new partnership with Geneva-based mountaineer Christine Vogondy, who is undertaking one of the most demanding challenges in modern mountaineering: climbing the planet's 14 peaks over 8,000 metres.

To date, Christine Vogondy has already climbed 11 of the 14 peaks over 8,000 metres. She has three more ascents planned for 2026 to achieve this exceptional goal and join the very select circle of mountaineers who have accomplished this feat.

Christine Vogondy: A Genevan mountaineer with a remarkable career

The journey of Christine Vogondy, a Swiss mountaineer based in Geneva, commands admiration. She notably holds a female world record for having consecutively climbed five Pakistani peaks over 8,000 metres, a rare feat in the history of high-altitude mountaineering.

The ascent of these Himalayan and Karakoram giants demands extreme physical and mental preparation, constant risk management, and exceptional resilience.

These qualities echo the values supported by Berney Associés, who support entrepreneurs, executives and companies daily in their projects and challenges.

An exceptional challenge: climbing the 14 peaks over 8,000 metres

Christine Vogondy's «Road to 2026» project aims to complete the ascent of the 14 mountains over 8,000 metres, the world's highest peaks.

These mythical peaks are mainly located in the Himalayas and the Karakoram, between Nepal, Pakistan and China.

Among these legendary mountains are, in particular:

  • Mount Everest (8,848 m)

  • K2 (8,611 m)

  • the Kangchenjunga (8,586 m)

  • Annapurna (8,091 m)

  • Dhaulagiri (8,167 m)

These ascents represent one of the greatest challenges in world mountaineering.

A new expedition to Dhaulagiri in Nepal

In the coming days, Christine Vogondy will begin a new expedition to Nepal with the aim of reaching the summit of Dhaulagiri (8,167 metres).

The entire team at Berney Associés wishes you a successful ascent, favourable conditions, and lots of success in this new adventure.

We look forward to following their journey in the months to come and supporting them towards the final goal of 14 summits over 8,000 metres.

A partnership based on exceeding one's limits

This partnership is fully in line with Berney Associés' values: ambition, rigour, commitment, and exceeding expectations.

Beyond supporting her sporting project, this collaboration will also bring these values to life for the Berney Associés teams, particularly through team-building sessions at the KeePushing training centre in Geneva, founded by Christine Vogondy.

This centre specialises in sports training and hypoxia preparation, a method used by athletes to simulate altitude conditions.
